Rishabh Pant flies to England as backup for Shikhar Dhawan

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has left for England as a backup to injured opener Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan, however, will remain in England and will be under the supervision of BCCI medical team. The BCCI has given green signal to Pant to go to England. Pant will start practicing after joining Team India.

When the team was selected for the World Cup then Pant had been ignored by the selectors who had chosen Dinesh Karthik.
