F1 releases revised race calendar for 2020

Formula One has announced a revised calendar for the first 8 rounds of race to be held this year. All these rounds will take place in 6 countries. The start will be from Austria on 3 July. Formula One chief executive Chase Carey said that even if one driver was found to be Corona infected during the season, the race would not be stopped in between.

The Formula One race was to begin in Australia, but was halted on March 15 before a weekend McLaren team member was found to be corona infected. Carey said that this time the season will not be stopped under any circumstances.

He said, “Every team has a reserve driver. If a driver is found to be infected, the driver will be replaced by the reserve. If one team is not able to participate in the race, then the entire race will not be canceled for that. “

Teams will be made to travel by chartered plane

Carey said the teams would be made to travel on a chartered plane so that they could stay away from locals and fans. At the moment, Formula One will be done without an audience. He said that 80-90 page guidelines have been prepared for all the teams. Teams will take care of social distancing.

The final calendar will be completed by the end of June

Carey said the entire calendar of the season would be finalized by the end of June. In Formula One, only 80 to 130 staff will be able to accompany 10 teams instead of the usual around 1200.
