Aadhaar-PAN link will be inactive after March 31, 2023, IT Department issues advisory

In the advisory issued by the Income Tax Department on Saturday, it was said that on behalf of those people who have not yet linked their PAN with Aadhaar card, their PAN will become inoperative from March 31, 2023. In such a situation, you may have to face problems in doing many tasks related to income tax.

In the public advisory issued by the Income Tax Department, it has been told that it is necessary to link your PAN with Aadhaar and do it as soon as possible.

Income Tax Department issued a statement

A statement was issued by the PAN issuing department saying that under the Income-tax Act, 1961, it is still necessary for people to link their PAN with Aadhaar, which do not fall under the exemption category. It is mandatory to link your PAN with Aadhaar before 31.03.2023.

According to a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Finance, exemption has been given to those persons living in Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Meghalaya, in the Income Tax Act, 1961.

According to the notification issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), after March 30 if your PAN will be deactivated, you may face many problems.
