57.85 percent polling in Uttarakhand till 5 PM

In the festival of democracy, 7856268 voters locked in the fate of 52 candidates in the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand on Thursday. State Election Office released statistics of voting percentage up to 5 PM in Uttarakhand. A total of 57.85 percent voting has been cast in the five seats. Polling was going on at many centers. Therefore, slight increase in voting percentage is probable.

In the morning due to favorable weather, there was considerable enthusiasm about voting in the voters. After nine o’clock in the polling stations, the queues of voters began to appear. As the day went on and the temperature increased due to bright sunshine, some polling stations started seeing a dip in voter turnout. While there was a total of 41.27 percent of the vote in the state till one o’clock in the afternoon, 46.59 percent of the voting was done till 3 pm. That is, in these three hours, only about five percent of the voters cast their votes.

EVM malfunctions, delay polling in many places

EVMs also betrayed at many places during voting on all the seats in Uttarakhand. In such a situation, there was a delay of about 30 minutes to an hour. Because of this, voters had to face difficulty standing in long queues. Voting started on Thursday at around 7 pm on most polling booths. At the same time, there was delay technical difficulties of EVM’s in many places. Polling started at 8 am due to the EVM malfunction in Sikaroda of Haripur’s Bhagwanpur assembly constituency. At the same time, in Inaiatpur, voting was delayed by around 30 minutes.
