Manish Sisodia presents Delhi budget worth Rs 53 thousand crore

The Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi today presented its ambitious green budget. Finance Minister Manish Sisodia started presenting the budget at 12 noon in the Delhi assembly. This was the fourth budget of Manish Sisodia.

Delhi Budget 2018 specialties

The proposed budget is Rs. 53 thousand crores. Its 13 percent will be given to local bodies.

In the last 3 years, the budget has increased from 30,900 crores to 53,000 crores.

– A budget of 1,000 crore will be given separately to cure the broken roads of the Corporation.

-Sisodia said- The first budget was education health budget. Proposals of the Green Budget this year will be significant.

To combat pollution, 26 projects were added from the departments like Environment, Transport, PWD and Energy.

In the year 2018-19, Delhi will be the first state where real time data will continue to be monitored at the level of pollution. Study on greenhouse emission gases too.

-To fix the pollution level, more trees will be planted in Delhi. So far, 7.93 lakh saplings were planted, whereas 3 lakh saplings were given to the citizens. More trees will be planted with the RWA and the Market Association.

-Delhi’s restaurant will be provided with assistance of Rs 5000 per tandoor. Assistance will also be provided to buy electric generators.

– 1,000 display meters will be installed to check pollution level.

– 1,000 electric buses will be brought to Delhi It will be the largest fleet of electric buses after China.

905 electric feeder buses will also be added to Metro Station.

-E-rickshaw drivers will be given subsidy

– There will be a policy for two vehicles.

The Government is also focusing on the taxis, which increases pollution in the city throughout the day.

-Buradhi, Sarai, Kale Khan and Dwarka will be made new bridges.

While presenting the budget, Sisodia said that the rate of economic inequality has reached beyond the US and Russia. When making a budget, it is important to pay attention to all these things. We are spending less than BRICS and SAARC countries on education and health budgets.

Manish Sisodia started the budget speech by expressing concern over the situation of employment. He said that there is no development at the lower level. Economic inequality is increasing. It is important to pay attention to this.

He said 9 out of the 20 polluted cities in the world are in India.
