16 year old clinches 3rd Gold for India at Asian Games 2018

A day after Vinesh Phogat became the first female wrestler from India to win a Gold Medal. 16 year old Saurabh Chaudhary gave India it’s 3rd Gold of the tournament.

India got gold medal in men’s 10 meter air pistol shooting competition on Tuesday in the 18th Asian Games. India’s 16-year-old shooter Saurabh made his debut with the gold medal. This is the the third gold medal on the third day in India’s bag.

Apart from this, another shooter Abhishek Verma got bronze medal in this competition. Saurabh broke the record of this tournament in Asian Games, securing 240.7 points and won gold. Abhishek took place in the top-3 in the final and won a bronze medal with a total of 219.3 points. Matsuda Tomoyuki of Japan secured silver medal with 239.7 points.

So far 7 medals have been won by the Indian contingent. Bajrang Poonia and Vineesh Phogat won gold medal in wrestling before Saurabh. India is now ranked 7th in the medal table.

Sanjeev in the 50m rifle-3 position final

Sanjeev Rajput, while retaining his rhythm, has entered the final of the 50m rifle-3 position. Sanjeev took the seventh position in the qualification competition and made it to the final.

Sailing: Dattu in single sculls final

Indian player Dattu Bhokanal has entered the men’s singles sculls competition in the sailing competition. Dattu struggled on the occasion of Repechage, taking the time of seven minutes and 45.71 seconds to make the final place.
