Abhay Deol shared teaser of web series ‘1962’
Disney Plus Hotsatar’s web series ‘1962- The War in the Hills’ will be feature Abhay Deol counted among Bollywood’s finest actors as a military officer. Abhay has shared the first glimpse of the series. This web series shows the story of a border dispute between India and China for years.
Abhay shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote – ‘What better occasion than today to salute all those brave hearts who fought to protect our motherland‘. Episodes out on 26 February. The teaser begins with news of Chinese troops intruding into Ladakh last year.

Newspaper clippings show the skirmishes between soldiers in the Galwan Valley. China is warned by India. After this, the story reaches in the month of November 1962, when there was a fight between India and China. In this battle, 125 Indian soldiers fought gallantly against 3000 Chinese soldiers. The series is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
Abhay has previously appeared in the science fiction thriller JL50, in which Kampaj Kapoor and Piyush Mishra also played important roles.
The 1962 war between India and China was shown on the big screen as Haqeeqat film in 1964, in which Abhay’s Uncle Veteran actor Dharmendra played the lead role. The film was produced and directed by Chetan Anand. In the film, actors like Balraj Sahni, Sanjay Khan and Vijay Anand played important roles. This was the debut of Veteran actor Sanjay Khan.
