Since then, scientists are constantly studying it. It takes 1344 days to revolve around the Sun. As vast as it is, if it collides with the earth, there is no doubt that it can bring a great disaster, but nothing like this is going to happen. When it passes close to the earth, the distance between the earth and it will be 63 lakh km.

Asteroid will return again in 2197

So these days the rumors going on in internet and social media are baseless. In future also, this asteroid will pass very closely. Scientists have also calculated it. When Asteroid 1998 OR-2 reaches close to the earth in 2197, its distance will be 18 lakh km from the earth. Even then it is unlikely to hit the earth.
