Team India squad announced for T20I against West Indies
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the T20 squad for the West Indies tour. Virat Kohli’s name was seen missing from the T20 team. At the same time, KL Rahul has returned to the team. Rahul was out of the team due to injury. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal too have been rested considering the T20 world cup is just a few months ahead.
Apart from this, Ravichandran Ashwin has also returned to the T20 team. Ashwin has not played a T20 match since the home T20I series against New Zealand last year. The Indian team will be on the West Indies tour from July 22 to August 7. During this, the team will play three ODIs and five T20s.

According to media reports, Virat Kohli himself has sought rest from the entire West Indies tour and this is the reason why he is neither a part of the Indian team in ODIs nor T20 series. After the break in the West Indies series, Virat may join the Indian team in the Asia Cup.
