Corona cases rise by 3900 in last 24 hours in India
Lockdown 3.0 does not seem to be fruitful thus far. The number of corona cases in the country is rapidly on the rise since May 1. In the country, 195 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19 and 3,900 people were found to be infected in the last 24 hours both these numbers are the highest recorded till date. The Health Ministry said about the sudden surge in corona cases that some states were not giving the figures of the number of cases and deaths on time. They have been requested for this and hence the number of cases has suddenly increased.
Giving the country an update on Corona, the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health said that the total number ofCovid-19 cases in the country has increased to 46,433 and 1,568 people have died from it. So far 12,726 Covid-19 patients have been cured, which is 27.41 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, 1020 people have recovered.
In response to a question about the surge in corona cases, Lav Agarwal said, “We are fighting an infectious disease.” Therefore, timely reporting and management of cases is very important. Gap was seen in some states. We persuaded them for this and because of this the cases have suddenly increased. ” It is worth mentioning that the Central team had raised questions about the figures of Corona cases in West Bengal. However, the Health Ministry did not mention the name of any state.
The Health Ministry said, “We are capable in dealing with the Covid-19, but any negligence in the field level will have serious consequences.” He emphasized that contact tracing all people who came in contact with corona positive people is very important.
