Weather expected to change from today in Uttarakhand; Weather will change from today, alert for rain issued
From today (Tuesday) in Uttarakhand, the weather is expected to change in most of the districts. There are chances of rain and strong thunder in many places across the state. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for today. Whereas, an orange alert for rain has been issued on 24 and 25 May.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today there will be rain and strong thunder at some places, along with lightning, gusty winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Whereas, for the next two days, there is a possibility of lightning accompanied by hailstorm, thunder and lightning at some places in the state.
Brikam Singh, director of the Meteorological Center Dehradun, said that an alert has been issued for rain, thunder and lightning from May 23 to 26. He has appealed to the people to be alert in view of the alert.
Chardham pilgrims advised to be careful
Police has advised the passengers going on Chardham Yatra to be careful. Giving information on its Twitter, Uttarakhand Police has written that ‘Please be careful and travel according to the weather. Keep raincoat, umbrella and woolen/warm clothes with you. Keep checking the weather information.’
