Tejas Express to resume services from 17 October, bookings start from 8 October

Before the festive season i.e. Dussehra and Diwali, the country’s first private train Tejas will start running again on the track. This information has been given by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation).Private trains were started between Delhi-Lucknow, Ahmedabad-Mumbai and Varanasi-Indore under the name Tejas Express. But after the Corona virus pandemic, the operations of these trains have been stopped since 22 March. IRCTC operates private trains.

Booking of Tejas Express train ticket will start from October 8 – Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will start booking the seat of this train from October 8. Passengers will get food packed in the train. It was decided on Tuesday in a meeting between IRCTC and Railway Board officials.

Private trains run on these routes – Tejas Express, the country’s first private train, ran on Lucknow to Delhi route. After this, the second private train started on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route. The third private train started from Varanasi to Indore. Tejas, the country’s first train in the corporate sector, started from Lucknow to New Delhi about a year ago. This train with modern facilities became very popular among the passengers. This is the first train in the country, which has a rule to give compensation to passengers when it is late.

Tejas Express is known for its special passenger amenities. Excellent food, snacks and drinks are free in this train.  At the same time, passengers are compensated for the delay. There is a compensation of 100 rupees for delay of more than one hour and 250 rupees for delay of more than two hours.
