YouTube changes monetization criteria; know minimum subscribers required to earn from YouTube
YouTube has recently changed its YouTube Monetization Criteria. This will help a lot for small creators to earn money. The criteria already set for inclusion in YPP have been changed. Previously, to monetize YouTube, creators needed to have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. YouTube is giving some relaxation to the people in the monetization policy under its YouTube Partner Program (YPP).

This new policy is being implemented by the company in only a few countries initially. This rule is currently being implemented in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea. In addition to changes to YPP eligibility, YouTube has introduced new monetization features for creators. Paid chat, tipping, channel membership and shopping features are now available for small creators.
Rule changed for shorts too
As per the old rule of the company, creators needed 10 million views to monetize the channel through YouTube shorts. With this, 1,000 subscribers were required. The company has changed it to 3 million views.

On behalf of YouTube, it was said that due to the ever-increasing content cost, the price of subscription has been increased. After this decision, users will have to pay $ 72.99 per month instead of $ 64.99 per month to watch YouTube on TV. The new pricing for new members begins on March 16, while the price change for existing members will begin on April 18. Furthermore, the company said that they are reducing the price of their 4K Plus add-on from $19.99 per month to $9.99 per month.
