Japan achieves record breaking 319 Tbps internet transfer speed

In today’s era the Internet has become an essential part of everyone’s life. But at times and in many places, its low speed creates problems. Work is going on to increase its speed continuously. Its speed has also been increased to some extent through optical fiber cable. Now Japan has done a new test in this regard.

The speed which has come out in this test done on the speed of the internet has shattered all the earlier records. The speed of 319 terabytes per second was achieved during testing in the lab of Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NIICT). In a similar test last year, this speed came to 178 terabytes.

US space agency NASA also uses internet speed of 440 gigabytes per second. With the speed of the Internet achieved in a lab in Japan, even the largest files can be downloaded in a blink of an eye. This speed is the highest in the world. You can comprehend its speed in such a way that thousand movies can be downloaded in a second with this speed.

Japan’s lab has also used optical fiber cable to get this speed. According to research, this speed can be found by changing some essential things in the existing optical fiber cable itself. It will also reduce the cost.
