Mumbai sees 18 percent rise in week on week Corona cases

Mumbai is once again under threat of corona infection ahead of Ganeshotsav, which is going to start from September 10. BMC Mayor Kishori Pednekar has even said that the third wave has knocked in Mumbai. In the first week of September, there has been an increase of about 18% in the total cases of corona in Mumbai. During the last week, 2,939 new cases have been reported here. Compared to the first week of August, this figure is about 18% more. Between August 1 and August 7, 2,413 new cases were reported in Mumbai.

BMC has warned that the next 15 days are going to be very important. BMC has banned devotees from visiting Ganesh pandals during Ganeshotsav. The danger of corona is increasing continuously in Nagpur too, here too the timing of opening of shops has been changed. Now shops will open here only till 4 pm.

More than 400 cases every day in September

On Tuesday, 349 corona cases came in Mumbai and 5 patients died. With this, the number of corona patients in Mumbai increased to 7,46,725 and the death toll reached 15,998.As per the health reports every day since September 1, more than 400 corona patients have come every day except Monday.

Appeal to people to celebrate Ganeshotsav by staying at home

The Mayor of Mumbai has said – We have decided to celebrate the festival by staying at our home only during Ganeshotsav. I appeal to Mumbaikars to celebrate Ganeshotsav at home under ‘Mera Ghar, Mere Bappa’ and ‘Mera Mandal, Mere Bappa’. Everyone should worship Bappa in their respective homes. She said that the people of the Mandal have assured to celebrate Ganeshotsav following the Corona protocol. 10 selected people in each circle will see the complete work.

 According to the new circular of BMC, the entry of devotees in Ganesh pandals will now be completely banned. Organizers will have to make arrangements for darshan through online medium. The BMC has said that the organizers should arrange for online darshan through social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, as well as through cable and local TV channels.
