Corona cases continue to rise in India; over 4000 cases reported in last 24 hours

After 6 months, more than 4 thousand new cases of corona have come in the country. On Tuesday, 4435 cases were found in the country, while 15 people died. Earlier on September 28, 4271 cases were reported. During this, 2508 people were cured of this disease. Currently there are 23,091 active cases in the country. These are the highest since October 18. Then 23,376 people were undergoing treatment.

In the last 24 hours, out of 15 deaths due to corona, 4 have occurred only in Maharashtra, while one person each died in Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Puducherry. Apart from these, 4 deaths have been registered from Kerala, but this is in backdate.

The speed of corona infection increased after March

Since November 15, there was a continuous decrease in the cases of corona in the country. The daily cases dropped below 500 and reached the lowest of 64 on 30 January. The same trend continued till the end of February, in which the daily cases remained between 200 and 300. But, come March, there was a sudden spurt in cases.

On March 11, more than 500 cases came, on March 21 the cases increased to more than 1100. On March 28, more than 2 thousand cases were received and on March 29, more than 3 thousand cases were received. Now on April 4, around 4500 cases have been reported.

Two-thirds of new cases in top-5 states, Kerala at the forefront

Out of 4435 new cases found in the country on Tuesday, 2905 have been found in only 5 states. Kerala is at the forefront of these. More than 1 thousand new cases have been found here. After this, 521 cases have been reported in Delhi, 711 in Maharashtra and 324 in Karnataka-Gujarat.

Kerala: 1025 new cases have been found here, 425 people have been cured and 596 people are under treatment. On Monday also 964 new cases were reported in Kerala. Earlier on October 2, 1121 cases were reported.

Maharashtra: 711 new cases have been found here in the last 24 hours, 447 people have been cured. Earlier on October 29, 971 new cases were reported here. On Tuesday, 4 people died of corona here, while 260 people are undergoing treatment. The positivity rate here is 7.94%.

Delhi: 521 new cases have been reported here on Tuesday. After 7 months, more than 500 cases have been found in Delhi in a single day. Earlier on August 27, 573 new cases were reported. Here 216 people got cured on Tuesday, while 1 person died. Currently there are 304 active cases. Here the positivity rate has reached 15.64%.

Karnataka: 324 new cases have been reported here on Tuesday, 1 death has occurred while 384 people have been cured. Currently there are 39 active cases in the state. Here the positivity rate has become 3.10%.

Gujarat: 324 new cases have been found here, 1 person has died and 317 people have been cured. On Monday, 231 new cases were found here. The positivity rate here is 1.49%.

New variant XBB 1.16 responsible for increasing corona cases

An official of the Union Health Ministry said that the new variant of Corona XBB 1.16 is responsible for the increase in new cases of Covid in the country. Dr. Sandeep Nair, a senior doctor from Delhi said – The strain of corona that has come has not taken a more serious form. The number of corona infected patients is increasing, but mild symptoms have been seen in people, most of them are recovering at home by taking medicines.
