Center stops export of Remdesivir as corona cases surge in the country

The central government has prohibited the export of injection Remdesivir amidst rising Corona cases in india on Sunday. Even the things used to make it will not be exported. The sudden increase in infection cases has led to the shortage of this injection across the country. The government has taken this decision in view of the demand and the possibility of increasing in the coming days.

All domestic companies making this injection have been advised to display the names of stockists and distributors on their website. The Drugs Inspector and other officials have been instructed to validate the stock and stop black marketing. The Department of Pharmaceuticals is in touch with the companies to increase the production of Remdesivir.

The Department of Pharmaceuticals is in contact with domestic manufacturers to promote the production of Remedisiver. In the past, there have been many cases of black marketing of Remedisivir injection playing an important role in the treatment of corona infection in the country. This order banning exports will remain in force until the pace of corona infection in the country reduces. The government says that many companies are engaged in the production of this injection and 38.80 units are being produced every day. In view of this figures of production and the increasing cases of Corona, the government has deemed it necessary to ban exports. Not only this, some announcements have also been made by the government to prevent black marketing of Remedesivir injection and to ensure availability.
