19 year old Ashish from Haldwani pens down book during lockdown

19 year old Ashish Tiwari ‘Aarav’ complied his poems and prose in the form of a book titled ‘Mere Khayal’ during the lockdown. Ashish, who is a BSc. Second year student of MBPG is fond of writing and poetry since his childhood. His father works in a private firm while his mother is a housewife. The family hails from Champawat district of Uttarakhand, and currently live in Haldwani’s Halduchaud area.

During the lockdown, when the whole country had to stay in their homes to break the chain of transmission of Coronavirus, Ashish utilized this time by penning down his poem collection in the form of a book.

Ashish said that,, “Through the book ‘Mere Khayal’, I have tried to convey my thoughts to every person. I have used simple language in this book. Through which an attempt has been made to touch some untouched idea. This book is for all those who have love simple Hindi language.

‘Mere Khayal’ is made up of many colors. Just like all colors have their own importance, in the same way every single line in this book has its own different meaning. Somewhere pink will be found, somewhere blood red will be found, black truth will be found somewhere.”

Despite being a science student, Ashish has a passion for poetry and is inspired by poets Rahat Indori, Munnavar Rana. ‘Aarav’ said that he didn’t believe that he would author a book at such a young age but support from his parents and sister Akansha who too is pursuing B.Sc helped him achieve his goal. He has also done a poetry session in Delhi’s The Social House Club.
