Top US Physician Dr Fauci believes Corona vaccine can restore normalcy in late 2021

Anthony Fauci, a leading infectious disease expert in the US, has hoped that the Covid-19 vaccine will be safely available by the end of this year or early 2021. In an interview with US news broadcaster PBS, Fauci said it would not take longer to get a new vaccine. Fauci said that even a half-effective vaccine would also suffice to bring the world back to normal within a year.

However, the US President has said that the vaccine may be ready by the election day i.e. November 3. Fauci believes that the vaccine may be available to the general public in 2021.

Regarding the Russian vaccine candidate, he said that having a vaccine does not mean that it should be given to the public. You first need to see if it is safe and effective. Questions are being raised about the safety and effectiveness of the Russia’s decision to approve it even before the crucial test. People have been preparing to get this vaccine in Russia since October. Experts believe that Moscow’s plan will also put pressure on other governments to quickly pass vaccines from regulators or to abandon important steps that can put public health at risk.

Meanwhile, Russia has started producing the Coronavirus vaccine. Ministry of Health informed about this on Saturday. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday the creation of the Corona vaccine. The vaccine is named after Sputnik V, a space satellite launched from Moscow in 1957.

This vaccine has been created by Gamalay Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology which is located near Moscow. Russia’s Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said on Wednesday that Russia would provide the vaccine to other countries after the Russians were vaccinated.
