Also, it is necessary to have ICU facility in the hospital, registration in the Clinical Establishment Act, separate wards for corona patients, separate entry and exit doors, 24 hours emergency, 24 hours pharmacy, oxygen facility up to each bed of the Isolation ward.

Along with this, training of biomedical waste management standards for hospitals, Covid protocol for medical paramedical staff is mandatory. Hospitals have been instructed to provide protection to doctors and other staff treating Corona patients.

Corona patients will also be treated in private hospitals as per the ICMR’s guideline and all patients must be reported to the Chief Medical Officer or Surveillance Officer on a real-time basis.

The government allowed private hospitals for corona treatment. But the rate of treatment has not been decided. The government order states that hospitals will have to treat patients at real, minimum rates. However, if a patient is admitted in a hospital, the rate of examination will be as per the prices fixed by the state government.
