SpaceX test rocket explodes after successful landing

SpaceX, suffered a major setback when the company’s new rocket exploded seconds after landing successfully on a test flight. This was the third test flight of this rocket from Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX). Before the soft landing, the rocket exploded and caught fire. There is no statement in this regard from Elon Musk yet.

The spacecraft, named SN10, was launched from SpaceX’s Boca Chica launch site in Texas, US on Wednesday. A video of this has also been released by SpaceX on its website. The rocket flew to some altitude before touching the landing pad. Scientists were expecting this third test to be completed successfully, but suddenly everything was shattered.

The rocket exploded just before landing and was engulfed by flames. SpaceX founder Elon Musk is developing a starship rocket for a Mars mission. Earlier, two missions crashed during landing in December and early February as well. It is being said that if the SN10 had succeeded in its third test, it would have been a big step towards space travel.

SpaceX made a record

SpaceX is still working on preparing the starship for its first orbital flight, which could be completed later this year. In January this year, SpaceX made a new world record by sending 143 satellites into space with the same rocket. Earlier, India had the record for the largest number of satellite launches by a rocket. In 2017, India sent 104 satellites into space with a rocket. These satellites were first to be launched in December last year, but were postponed due to some technical difficulties.
