Rafael Nadal enters 13th French Open Final

Spanish star Rafael Nadal made it to the final of the French Open Tennis Grand Slam. King of Clay Nadal defeated Argentina’s 12th seed Diego Schwartzman 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (0) in straight sets. Earlier, Schwartzman had defeated Nadal in the quarter-finals of the Italian Open last month.

This match lasted for 3 hours and 9 minutes. Schwartzman’s dream of reaching the final of a Grand Slam for the first time remained unfulfilled. World No-2 Rafael Nadal has reached the final for the 13th time at Roland Garros. This was Nadal’s 101st match at the French capital. He has won an astounding 99 matches on the red clay of Paris. So far, they he has lost only two matches.

Now in the title match, 34-year-old Nadal will face the winner of the second singles semi-final between World No.1 Serbian star Novak Djokovic and fifth seed Greece’s Stephanos Tsitsipas.

If Nadal is on his way to winning the 13th French Open title, which will not be surprising since the south paw has never lost a final in his previous 12 encounters. Then the number of Major Trophies with the title at the French Open will be 20 and he will reach the record of Swiss veteran Roger Federer as most Grand Slam titles won by a male player.
