First death due to Coronavirus reported in USA

The first death from coronavirus has been confirmed in the US. Health officials said on Saturday (February 29) that an infected patient died in Washington state after the first four cases were detected. The incident is from King County, the state’s most populous area, with a population of over 700,000. The victim was not immediately identified.

On the other hand, US health officials have registered a fourth case of corona virus infection from an unknown source. These cases are coming out, indicating the spread of this disease in the country. Local authorities did not provide detailed information about the patient, saying a minor boy was “potentially” infected in Hall in Washington State.

The Department of Health in Washington said that he is currently isolated in Snohomish. The school he studies in has been closed until March 3. In addition, authorities in Oregon reported on Friday (February 28) that an adult had been hospitalized. She is also reported to be “potentially” infected. When samples are tested positive they are considered “probable” until the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirms them.

Earlier, California health authorities had reported that a woman has been confirmed to be infected with the Coronavirus due to some unknown source and another case has surfaced in the northern part of the state. Sarah Cody, Director of Public Health in Santa Clara County, said, “The new cases show evidence of the presence of the infection but it’s unclear how much the infection has spread.” More people are infected, most of whom are from California.
