Vasantotsav 2021: 2 day flower exhibition to be held from March 13

A two-day Vasantotsav will be grandly organized at the Raj Bhavan from 13 March. Governor Baby Rani Maurya has invited all the people to attend the Vasantotsav. Speaking to the media at Raj Bhavan on Thursday, the Governor gave detailed information about the event of Vasantotsav. From this year, Raj Bhavan is also going to take a new initiative. Along with the floral exhibition of Vasantotsav, the apple and lychee festival will also be celebrated in August-September. The governor said that while the state is a leader in flower production, there is no competition to the fruits of the state. To encourage and promote fruit production, it has been decided to hold a fruit festival at Raj Bhavan.

She said that while the Vasantotsav would be formally inaugurated on March 13, a special event would be organized for the differently-abled and deprived children on Friday. Many competitions and cultural events will also be organized during this period. The people of the state will also be able to enjoy Vrindavan flower holi and dance during Vasantotsav. The postal department will also issue a special stamp on the bee to promote silent farming. Horticulture Director Dr. HS Vaveja gave information about the Vasantotsav 2021 competitions.

Covid 19 safety standards will be strictly enforced

Agriculture and Horticulture Secretary Harbans Chugh said that due to Corona last year, Vasantotsav was not organized in Raj Bhavan. It is being organized this year, but the Covid 19 safety standards will be strictly enforced. It will be mandatory for all people to wear masks. If one does not have a mask, an effort will be made to make it available during the Vasantotsav. There will be a sanitizer in the campus.
