3 tourists go missing while taking a dip in Ganga in Rishikesh

Three people, including two young women who came to visit from Mumbai, went missing in the Ganges at the pier located at Tapovan in Rishikesh. On information, the police and SDRF team searched the missing people in the Ganges, but they could not be traced anywhere. According to Munikireti police station, 3 people all residents of Borivali East, Mumbai, Maharashtra had come to visit Rishikesh with friends. On Wednesday evening at 4.30 pm, the three got down to take a dip at the Ganga Ghat in Tapovan. During this suddenly all three started flowing in the strong current of the Ganges.

In front of a hotel under Tapovan Chowki of Police Station Munikireti in Rishikesh, two Mumbai girls and a youth were washed away in the strong currents of Ganga. Police station Munikireti Police, Jal Police and SDRF personnel reached the spot, launched a rescue operation, but they could not find anything. The police station has informed his family members about it.

There was an outcry among friends. Station Inspector Kamal Mohan Bhandari said that five people, including two young women, had come to visit Rishikesh. While taking a dip in the river, two girls and a young man suddenly got lost in the strong waves of the Ganges. Their families have been informed about the matter. On Thursday also, a search operation will be carried out in the Ganges to search for them.
