Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express starts operations
The operation of Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun-Lucknow has formally started from Tuesday. This train, which runs six days a week except Monday, will travel between Dehradun and Lucknow in just eight hours and 20 minutes. Whereas other trains take 11 to 12 hours to cover this distance.
Vande Bharat chaircar fare from Dehradun to Lucknow is Rs 1,480, which includes Rs 323 for food. At the same time, the fare for executive class is Rs 2,715, of which Rs 384 is for food. The situation is such that on the very first day of operation the train was packed with passengers and there was a waiting list. The seats in this train are full till 31st March.
Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat schedule
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun-Lucknow on March 12. However, the schedule of its operation and fare was released by the Railways after a week. This is the first train to travel both ways between Dehradun and Lucknow in the same day. The Central Government has decided to operate Vande Bharat Express to facilitate rail travel between Dehradun and Lucknow. Earlier last year, operations of Vande Bharat Express had started between Dehradun and New Delhi Anand Vihar.
This train will leave from Lucknow at 5:15 am and reach Dehradun at 1:35 pm. This train will depart from Dehradun at 2:25 pm and reach Lucknow at 10:40 pm. After leaving Dehradun, this train will stop directly at Haridwar. There will be halt at only five stations between Dehradun and Lucknow namely Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur and Alamnagar. There was a demand for a long time to run Vande Bharat Express from Dehradun to Lucknow. The operation of the train has brought a lot of relief to the passengers going to Eastern UP.
