Total Corona case count in Uttarakhand crosses 10000
389 new cases found today, results of more than 10000 samples pending
On Monday, 389 new cases of corona have been reported, out of which 178 cases have been reported in Haridwar. Apart from this, 110 cases are of Udhamsinghnagar, 41 Dehradun, 25 Nainital, 10 Pithoragarh, 7 Tehri, 6 in Almora and Chamoli, 3 Champawat, 2 Uttarkashi, 1 Rudraprayag. At the same time, 167 people have recovered, while nine Covid positive patients lost their lives.
Two corona infected patients died in STH
Two more corona-infected people have died at Sushila Tiwari Hospital. The 83-year-old woman was from Kashipur. She had various other diseases including pneumonia. The other woman was from Rudrapur. The 35-year-old woman also had respiratory problems. Medical Superintendent Dr. Arun Joshi has confirmed the death of two patients.
Plasma therapy will also be possible in Doon Hospital
In the Doon Hospital, treatment of corona will now be possible with plasma therapy. Approval has been given for the manufacture of blood components in the hospital. Drug Controller Tajbar Singh has sent a letter to the Blood Cell Officer in charge of the hospital, stating that the General Drug Controller FDA New Delhi has given permission to manufacture blood components to the blood cell. A proposal was sent by the hospital administration regarding this. Only in AIIMS Rishikesh and Haldwani Medical Colleges, Corona is being treated with plasma therapy so far.
Results of 10630 samples is pending in Uttarakhand. On 10th August, 5140 samples were sent for testing across the state.
