Monsoon expected to bid adieu to Uttarakhand by October 10

In the states of North India including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, with the active northwest winds, the monsoon is in preparation for farewell. According to meteorologists, the monsoon will completely depart from all the states of North India including Uttarakhand by October 10.

Meteorologists also believe that the monsoon has left from some areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat two days ago, but now its activity remains for two-three days in some states of North India including Uttarakhand. However, the chances of rain before the departure of monsoon are negligible at present.

According to Vikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Center, the monsoon usually leaves most of the states of North India by September 28, but this time the monsoon activity continued till a week later. Due to this, till October 4-5, many areas of the state saw rain with strong winds, but in the next two days, the activity of monsoon will be completely over.

North-west winds increased pressure, mercury will fall rapidly

According to Vikram Singh, Director of Meteorology, with the weakening of the monsoon, now the pressure of north-west winds has increased rapidly. As a result of the activation of these winds, not only will the cooling increase rapidly in the coming days, but the mercury will also drop rapidly. Due to the activity of these winds, a drop in temperature is being recorded since last few days.

This time the rain fell by two percent less than normal

According to the Meteorological Department, this year the state has received two per cent less rainfall than the average. The state normally receives 1176.9 mm of rain every year, but this time it received 1153.4 mm. This year, Bageshwar received the highest rainfall of 2215.8 mm, which is much higher than the normal rainfall of 842.7. At the same time, Haridwar has received the least rainfall of 752 mm. Whereas normally Haridwar receives 971.2 mm of rain. As far as the capital Doon is concerned, Dehradun received 11 percent less rainfall than normal. Dehradun received only 1362.4 mm rain this year. Whereas Dehradun generally receives 1524.6 mm of rain.
