Dates announced for Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022

Elections are going to be held in five states this year. The Election Commission has also made it clear that elections will be held on time. Voter list has also been released. Political movements are intensifying in all the electoral states. The Uttarakhand Assembly elections 2022 will be held in one phase on 14th February 2022.

Over all elections are to be held in 7 phases across 7 states. Along with Uttarakhand elections will also be held in Punjab, Goa, UP and Manipur. The final phase of elections will be held on 7th March and counting of polls will be done on March 10.

Candidates can also enroll online

An app has been created to prevent rigging in elections. Candidates will also be able to enroll online through the app. Problem or complaint will be registered through CIVIGIL app. The moral code of conduct of election has come into force with immediate effect. Strict action will be taken for violation of election rules.

The country’s Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra recently took stock of the conditions in the states where the assembly elections are to be held in 2022 and examined the preparations for the elections. The commission also took a report from the Ministry of Health on Corona and Omicron infection.

Voters will get one hour extra to cast their votes in Uttarakhand. Voting will now go on from 8 am to 6 pm. Earlier its timing was fixed from eight in the morning to five in the evening. This was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra, who was on a tour of the state to test the preparations for the elections. He said that the intention behind this decision is that people can exercise maximum franchise in this state with heterogeneous geography. The goal of the commission this time is to increase the voting percentage by making the voters aware.
