Ahmedabad, Lucknow to be two new teams in IPL 2022
Mega auction will take place before the start of IPL 2022. Before this big auction, two more new teams have joined the IPL. BCCI was about to announce both these teams today. Both these teams will be named after Ahmedabad and Lucknow. With this, the total number of teams in IPL has now gone up to 10.
Now there will be 10 teams in IPL
For the last few years, 8 teams have been facing each other in the IPL continuously. For the first time in 2011, 10 teams were included in the IPL. But now once again in IPL 10 teams will clash for a trophy. Now the teams of Ahmedabad and Lucknow will also be seen facing the rest of the teams in the IPL. CVC Capital Partner Group has won the ownership of the team in Ahmedabad. While RPSG Group will own the Lucknow team. Apart from this, teams from Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi already play IPL.
Mega auction will be held next year
Mega auction is to be held before the start of IPL 2022 next year. Before this auction, all IPL teams will be able to retain only 3 players with them. In such a situation, some big changes can be seen in all the teams. Be it Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s CSK, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai or Virat’s RCB, all the teams will be filled with new players and will also look completely changed.
CSK won the title of 2021
CSK, captained by Dhoni, won the title of the 2021 season. This was CSK’s overall fourth IPL trophy. Earlier, CSK has won the IPL title in 2010, 2011 and 2018. Apart from CSK, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai has won the IPL title 5 times. On the other hand, KKR won 2 and Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL title once.
