Reached at Last: Goods train bogey reaches destination after 4 years

It is a universal fact that trains of the Indian Railways are running late more often than not. It is common to hear news about trains being late by couple of hours to even around 24 hours but a goods train bogey coach shattered all those records. When the bogey arrived at the Basti railway station, the officials of the warehouse were shocked to see its papers. It was found that this bogey carrying composted took about four years to cover 1,326 km between Basti in UP from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
In this box, were 1,316 Di ammonium phosphate (DAP) manure sacks which were booked from Visakhapatnam on November 10, 2014. This box reached the town on Friday afternoon. About this, Sanjay Yadav of North Eastern Railway told Gorakhpur that this composted freight train was sent to Visakhpatnam in 2014 for Basti. But as soon as the train departed from there, one of the compartment got spoiled and stood in the yard.
Meanwhile, businessman Ramchandra Gupta did not get any information about this box and the railway did not even know about this. Now Gupta has been given information about this box.
