Rain wreacks havoc in Bageshwar
Monsoon is well active in Uttarakhand these days. There are frequent incidents of cloudburst and sudden heavy rains at many places, although the monsoon rains are not impacting the plains at the moment. Its effect is more in mountainous areas. In such a situation, the situation is becoming dangerous due to continuous rains in the high altitude areas of Bageshwar district. This morning the villagers came in panic due to the incident of cloudburst in the remote village of Kanda tehsil in Bageshwar district.
Suddenly the debris started falling from the hill with the strong flow of water. Villagers working in the field somehow saved their lives by running away. According to Deputy Collector Rakesh Chandra Tiwari, there is no report of any casualty of any villager or animal. The team has been sent to the village for investigation.
