Air India increases baggage allowance limit for passengers traveling to Dubai

Passengers traveling to Dubai from Air India will now be able to take 40 kilograms of goods as check-in. India’s national aviation company has increased the carrying limit by up to 10 kilograms. Air India Chairman Ashwini Lohani said at the reception hosted by the Indian community on Monday night that these changes will be applicable on ticket booking from Tuesday.

40 kg allowance limit not for all

Clarifying a news post, Air India said that the 40 kg baggage allowance is only for Air India passengers traveling from Indore to Dubai.

Lohani said, ‘The people were demanding it. Now passengers will be able to carry 40 kilograms of goods in the form of check-in luggage. Apart from this, they will be allowed to keep handbags up to seven kg as before. During this program, the Indian community had increased the limit of check-in luggage from 30 to 40 kg.’
