Rs 4063 crore supplementary budget passed in Uttarakhand Assembly session

The supplementary budget of 4063.79 crore for the current financial year 2020-21 was passed in the assembly on Tuesday. In this, provision of 2071.42 crore has been made in Revenue Accounts head and 1992.39 crore in Capital head. The biggest hope in the supplementary budget is on the help in the form of central schemes.

In the Assembly on Tuesday evening, the House passed the appropriation bill related to the supplementary budget. It was laid on the floor of the house last day. 135.26 crores has been kept in the supplementary budget for the salary head. There is provision of 2293.30 crores for the centrally sponsored schemes. The house was adjourned till 11 am on Wednesday after discussion of the adjournment motions on Tuesday late evening.

Land disputes to be settled in 10 days

The Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1901) (Amendment) Bill was introduced in the House on Tuesday. In order to expedite the execution of the ownership plan in the state, the amended bill has reduced the period of settlement of disputes. The sub-section-three of section 54 of the Act has reduced the 21-day time limit for objection after the notice served in relation to settlement of disputes relating to entries of records officer to 10 days. Now the concerned officer will have to settle the said dispute within 10 days.
