17 year old boy attacked while grazing sheep
Another leopard attack happened in Pauri when Pritam Singh 17, a resident of Simarkhal village in Ekeshwar block of Pauri Garhwal, was grazing his sheep when he was attacked by a leopard. On hearing his screams, Gaurav and Ravindra rushed to Pritam’s rescue and threw stones at the leopard, following which the beast escaped. Pritam was taken to a nearby health centre. His condition is stated to be out of danger. Pritam has sustained injuries on his neck and back. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he said to be out of danger.
The locals are in constant fear as these attacks are becoming a regularity. Officials had set up a trap to catch the leopards but to no avail.
