Admission dates of Delhi University changed due to Lok Sabha election result

Students who are seeking admission in Delhi University may have to wait a little longer. The first news was that the admission process in DU will begin on May 20. But according to Dean of Students Welfare, the application forms will now be available only in the middle of next week.

While the application form was expected to arrive in May 20, DU professor Rajeev Gupta said on Saturday that due to the results of Lok Sabha elections, the form will not be released before Thursday. The results of the Lok Sabha elections be announced on May 23. Now the process of application will start from May 24. However, the official notification has not yet been released. It was being told earlier that the application process was to start in early May, but “preparations for the admission process have not been completed yet”.

Gupta said that admission process for undergraduate and post graduation courses will be started separately. He said that the form for PG courses can be out by May 21. In the next two-three days, the admission process for the masters course will begin. While admission process for most UG courses will be on merit basis, the University will hold entrance exams for courses like BA (Hons) Business Economics, Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), BTech. (IT and Mathematical Innovation), Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports, BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication will be 5-Year Journalism Courses. Last year, the entry process started from May 15.
