Daily Corona cases go past 6000 after 7 months
The number of corona patients in the country has started increasing once again. In the last 24 hours, 6,050 new cases have been reported in the country, while 14 people have died. The figure of active cases has also increased to 28,303. Meanwhile, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a review meeting with the States-Union Territories on Friday.
Mandaviya has asked the health ministers of the states to visit all the hospitals on April 10 and 11 and review the mock drill. Mandaviya said- We have reviewed the current situation of Corona. States have been directed to identify emergency hotspots, increase testing, genome sequencing and improve hospital infrastructure. Apart from this, it has been asked to strictly follow the rules related to Corona.
Mandaviya said – We need to be alert, not panic. Presently the sub-variant of Omicron is spreading in the country. Earlier on Wednesday, the Covid Empowerment Working Group had also held a review meeting.
Cases increasing faster in April than in March
The increase in the daily cases of Corona has accelerated. Presently the positivity rate is 3.39%. In 31 days of March, 31,902 cases of corona were reported. In comparison, 26,523 new cases have been received in the 6 days of April itself.
If we look at the average, in March, an average of 1 thousand new cases were found daily, while in April, an average of 4 thousand cases are coming daily. If the rate of infection remains the same, then there is a possibility of over 1 lakh new cases in April.
