Uttarakhand’s international standard stadium to be completed by March 2017

Nainital: The first cricket stadium of international standards in the Kumaon region will be ready by March 2017, as per the assurance given by the construction agency to Finance Minister and local MLA and Uttarakhand’s Smt Indira Hridayesh. Hridayesh visited the under-construction Indira Gandhi Sports Complex coming up in the Gaulapar region of Haldwani which would also house the cricket stadium. “I have instructed the construction company to increase the number of labourers and work in shifts for the speedy completion of the complex before March 2017 so that the government could inaugurate it for cricket competitions to be held that year,” said Hridayesh.

She expressed satisfaction at the construction of the swimming pool coming up in the complex and instructed the engineers to build roads connecting one stadium to the other.
