BJP leader and his family shot dead in J&K
In Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists have killed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Wasim Bari. The terrorists also fired upon Wasim Bari and his father and brother. All three died in this incident.
The BJP leader was at the shop with his father and brother when the terrorists opened fire on them. The IG of Kashmir said that the family has got 8 security personnel, but no one was with them at the time of the incident. Both home and shop are together. 7 security personnel deployed for the protection of the BJP leader have been arrested.
BJP leader Sheikh Wasim Bari along with his brother Omar Sultan and father Bashir Ahmed Sheikh were killed. According to the information, at around 9 pm on Wednesday, the terrorists opened fire outside his shop at District BJP President Wasim Bari. His brother Umar Sultan and father Bashir Ahmed were injured in the firing of terrorists. They were rushed to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
Recently, the sarpanch Ajay Pandita was shot dead by terrorists in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. The Resistance Front (TRF), an organization associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the murder. Ajay Pandita was related to Congress party. Since the murder, questions were raised about security in the valley.
In Jammu and Kashmir, there are many frequent encounters between security forces and terrorists. So far this year more than 100 terrorists have been killed.
