Registrations for the Char Dham Yatra to be held this year have already started. At the same time, now IRCTC has announced its new tour packages for people to visit Char Dham. - IRCTC has launched tour packages covering all the Char Dhams starting from Delhi, Mumbai or Haridwar.
- The departure dates for these packages start from 1st May 2023 to 16th September 2023 depending on the city of origin.

About the Tour
Char Dham Yatra comprises of Haridwar, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Rishikesh tour. Ancient literature refers to this region as Badrikashram, Himavat, Tapobhoomi, Devabhoomi and Kedarskhand. Uttarakhand, also called Devbhumi has some of the holiest Hindu temples and for more than a thousand years, devotees have been visiting the region in the hopes of salvation and purification from sin and attain salvation. Gangotri and Yamunotri, the sources of both the Ganges and Yamuna fall in the upper reaches of the state and together with Badrinath (dedicated to Lord Vishnu) and Kedarnath (dedicated to Lord Shiva) form the Char Dham of Uttarakhand, one of Hinduism most spiritually auspicious pilgrimage circuits. Last year since removal of Covid restrictions, a record number of devotees visited Chardham and this year too the number is expected to rise.
