Uttarakhand tightens report check at border posts; action against those with fake reports
Everyone needs convenience in our country, but very few want to follow the rules. The state government issued a new guideline for prevention of Covid, but even in this people are trying to bypass the rules. For excursions, tourists have started coming to Uttarakhand with fake Covid reports. Catching such people is also a big challenge in itself. The latest case is from Dehradun. Here a car had reached Mussoorie with the whole family with a fake Covid negative report, but was caught on the border. During the investigation, the Covid report of the entire family was found to be fake. A case of cheating and criminal conspiracy has been registered against the accused. The incident happened on Wednesday. In the evening, police were checking RTPCR and other documents of people coming from outside at Asharodi check post.
In another incident, a family from Ghaziabad was caught by the police. During the investigation, the Covid negative report of all the people in the car was found to be fake. After a while the police stopped another car. Three people were sitting in this car. Their reports were also found to be fake. All have been arrested. A case of cheating and criminal conspiracy has been registered against the accused. The next action will be taken on Thursday.
