Schools in Haryana, Gujarat and Mumbai to close again as Corona cases rise

Many states of the country are witnessing rapid increase in cases of corona infection. Children and teachers of schools have also started getting infected. In view of this, the State Governments have once again decided to keep schools closed. The Maharashtra government has decided to close schools under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) till December 31. At the same time, the Haryana government has issued instructions to keep government and private schools closed till 30 November. At the same time, the Gujarat government has postponed the decision to open schools.

Gujarat is also witnessing a spurt in corona infection. In view of this, the State Government has extended the date of opening of the schools further.  Not only this, the government has also issued an order to impose night curfew from 9 o’clock in the night to 6 o’clock in the morning.

In Haryana, schools were opened in the state on November 16 itself. After this, many teachers and students of the state have been infected. In view of the surge in infection cases in the state, the state government has issued instructions to close government and private schools till November 30. The Directorate of Education has issued the above instructions to all the District Education Officers of the State. Not only this, the teachers who have not yet conducted the Covid test will have to undergo this test as a precaution soon.

In Maharashtra, classes from nine to 12th classes were to start in Mumbai from November 23. Meanwhile, the state government has postponed the decision to start school activities in view of the increase in infection cases. According to the news agency ANI, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to close schools in the metropolis till 31 December. Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that all the schools under BMC’s jurisdiction will remain closed till December 31.
