E-stamp launched in Uttarkashi

Senior Treasurer Officer Himani Snehi inaugurated the process of e-stamp distribution at a workshop organised at Vikas Nigam in Uttarkashi yesterday.

She said the stamp distribution process used earlier would be abolished. She appealed to stamp vendors to expedite various stamp deed matters using e-stamp process and for that they should fill application in digital form.

She said vendors would have to site the reasons for buying the e-stamp clearly while distributing them to applicants. She said printout could be taken out for the e-stamps worth Rs 10 to Rs 499 while stamps deeds above Rs 500 would be provided in printed paper.

She said the digital process would ease the way the business was conducted in revenue department. She directed officials concerned to begin the e-stamp vendor registration process in the district. Presently, there are six e-stamp dealers registered in the district.
