Block level sports mahakumbh begins at Barkot

Block level sports Mahakumbh has started at the playground of Government Inter College, Barkot. Khel Mahakumbh is being organized under the aegis of Youth Welfare Department. This includes ten Nyaya Panchayats of the district.

Various sports competitions including running, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, discus throw, shot put are to be held in the 3-day block level sports Mahakumbh. While inaugurating the competition, block chief representative as the chief guest said that such events provide an opportunity to the talented players of rural areas to move forward. Block Development Officer Dinesh Chand Joshi and Youth Welfare District President Azad Dimri said that it is better for the youth to get a platform for sports talent along with education.
