Health department issues advisory as Covid cases rise in Uttarakhand

Corona has once again gained momentum in Uttarakhand. In view of the rapidly increasing cases in the state, the Health Department has issued advisory for all the districts. In-charge Secretary Health Dr Rajesh Kumar has given guidelines regarding corona given to the district officials.

Within the last 24 hours, 142 new infected have been found in the state. While 38 patients have been cured. The number of active patients is also increasing continuously. At present, 1140 corona patients are undergoing treatment in the state. According to the Health Department, the investigation report of 914 samples has come negative on Sunday.

At the same time, Dehradun district has the maximum number of 94 cases, Haridwar 6, Nainital 15, Almora and Pauri 2 each, 1 each in Chamoli and Champawat, 7 in Tehri, 3 in Udham Singh Nagar and 11 in Uttarkashi. The state’s recovery rate was 94.96 percent and infection rate was 3.45 percent.

Advisory issued by health department

  • It is necessary to follow social distance and wear mask.
  • Patients with symptoms of corona should be kept in home isolation.
  • COVID-19 vaccination coverage should be increased.
  • Instructions to send samples of infected patients to all districts for genome sequencing.
  • District Magistrates were asked to increase the RT-PCR test.
  • If fever is spreading, get corona test done immediately.
  • It has also been advised to conduct tests for those with flu and respiratory complaints.
  • Availability of ICU beds to be ensured.
  • The functioning of the oxygen plant should be ensured.
