Germany to go into 5 day long hard lockdown to prevent Corona spread over Easter

Coronavirus remains a constant threat in the world. Now there is a possibility of the virus spreading aggressively again like last year. In such a situation, many countries are taking necessary steps by taking precaution. Under this, Germany is also going to impose a five-day strict lockdown. In this regard, German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke to local leaders on Tuesday. She then said that a five-day strict lockdown would be imposed on Easter in Germany to stop the rapidly growing corona virus.

Chancellor Angela Merkel and 16 other leaders met and agreed to impose a lockdown in the country from April 1 to April 5. Along with this, other establishments, including culture and sports, were also said to be closed till 18 April. It has been informed that during the strict lockdown of these five days, usually all shops will remain closed. Easter prayers will be done online. Only ration-subsidized shops will be allowed to open on 3 April.

After about 12 hours of talks with the leaders, Angela Merkel said, ‘The situation is very serious. The Corona case is growing wildly and ICU beds are also being filed up fast.
