What if it rains in the semi-finals?

Reserve day has been kept for both the semi-final matches. In such a situation, if it rains in any semi-final match, then the rest of the game will be held on the next day. The first semi-final is between Pakistan and New Zealand. If it rains in this match to be held on November 9, then the rest of the game will be on November 10, but it is necessary to play at least 10 overs in both the innings. If 10 overs is not played in an innings due to rain, then New Zealand’s team will reach the final. Because, New Zealand’s run rate is better than Pakistan and New Zealand’s performance in the group stage was better than Pakistan.

In the second semi-final too, at least 10 overs of play will be required in both the innings. If it is not possible due to rain, then Team India will reach the final. Because, India’s run rate is better than England and Team India has performed better than England in the group stage. If it rains in the final match, the rest of the match will be held on reserve day. If it rains even on reserve day, both the teams will be declared joint winners.

New Zealand won three out of five matches and one match was abandoned. The Kiwi team scored seven points and its net run rate was +2.113. New Zealand defeated Australia, Sri Lanka and Ireland. They had to face defeat against England and the match against Afghanistan was washed out due to rain.

England also won three out of five matches and scored seven points. England’s net run rate was +0.473. This team defeated Afghanistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. They had to face defeat against Ireland. At the same time, the match against Australia was canceled due to rain.
