No plans to scrap article 370 of the constitution says Govt.

The Central Government does not have any proposal to end Article 370 of the constitution providing special status to Jammu and Kashmir. This information was given by Minister of State for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir on Tuesday. Responding to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Ahir said, “There is no such proposal under consideration with the government at present.”
This article was added to the Constitution after the President’s order in 1954, which gives privilege to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and gives the State Assembly the right to make any law, whose legitimacy can not be challenged.

This article prevents the rest of the Indian nationals from acquiring real estate in Jammu and Kashmir, getting government jobs and taking advantage of the state government’s scholarship schemes. Significantly, the BJP’s manifesto includes dismissing Article 370. The BJP, which is running the coalition government with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, is still silent on this issue.
