Former Japan PM Shinzo Abe fatally shot in rally

Former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe has died after bein fatallyshot in a rally. During a rally in Nara town this morning, the assailant had attacked him and fired two bullets at him. He was then admitted to the hospital, where his condition remained critical. Doctors tried their best to save him, but could not be saved. Japan’s NHK World Radio has confirmed his death. He was addressing an election rally in the western Japanese city of Nara on Friday morning. During this, coming very close to him, the attacker fired two bullets at him one after the other.

Shinzo Abe fell to the ground shortly after being shot and was immediately taken to the hospital. He was airlifted, but could not be saved even after all the efforts in the hospital. Doctors said that his heart had stopped working and he was having trouble breathing. He was kept under intensive medical observation, but his health continued to deteriorate. 67-year-old Shinzo Abe was Japan’s longest-serving prime minister. He was the PM from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020. His grandfather was also the Prime Minister of Japan and then his father was also the country’s foreign minister.
