Bharat Band effects seen in MP, Bihar

35 Swarn organizations, have called for a bandh today. Section 144 has been imposed in ten districts of Madhya Pradesh. Section 144 has been imposed in Bhind, Gwalior, Morena, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar, Datia, Sheopur, Chhattarpur, Sagar and Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh. During this time the petrol pumps, schools and colleges will be closed here.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has appealed to all people to maintain peace. Addressing a rally on Wednesday, Chauhan said, “Our Madhya Pradesh is the island of peace, I want to pray to the entire people of Madhya Pradesh that this peace should not be seen by anyone. My heart is open for every citizen. ‘

Bihar too is facing the anger of the people over th SC/ST Act ammendment. There was a clash between supporters and police in Bihar’s Ara. Meanwhile, the supporters of the bandh attacked the police. While retaliating, the police resorted to lathi charge. According to sources, firing has also happened in the Ara. The incident is from Jagdev Nagar Mohalla of Nawada police station area of the city.
